CoalTrain seems to be having a gunfight in the mall, but nobody seems to have noticed. So... are these guns super-silenced, or is the mall just that big/noisy/chaotic? :P

EDIT: Writing this scenario in Dept-37 is hard - I'm not entirely sure what Lucky should do next. O_o While the obvious answer would be to just enter the shop and pray the two lights actually weren't tracking them, Lucky has no confirmation the girl in the store isn't a terrorist herself. Unless, of course, the given conversation was louder than I might have imagined.

If Lucky stays frozen or gets caught, I get the feeling people would awkwardly not touch the subject, thinking it's all part of my ingenious plan. It's not.

Running off to another store and meeting another character could an option, but lets face it, if I split up from the main group I'll probably never post again (which seems to be a recurring trend I need to break O_o ).

... GAH. I miss the good ol' days of one liners.

EDIT 2: Though I guess if Coaltrain's reckless actions attracted the attention of the two goons, then maybe Lucky could head inside the store or join the raid group. Though I feel like that route misses a certain flare.

EDIT 3: And this is why I can't have nice posts. :P

Well, I was intending to notice the gunfight...but since I apparently forgot to add that bit I'm just going to go with my backup plan of it happening too far away from everything for Scarlet to hear it. Either that or I'll timelapse some kind of recognition.

Also, no, the conversation isn't intended to be loud, at least not from my perspective.

Also also, even more no. **** one-liners.

Oh, and Azi, does Amelia still have the power that was granted to her at the balbels? I never mentioned anything about it because there was no situation in which it was useful.

Westy scratched their head, clearly bamboozled by Inferi's quick shut down. What was so wrong with one liners westy mused while reaching bashfully for a cookie.

"But... there would be much more emphasis on speech, Inferi-san", Westy said diligently. "Whatever could possibly be wrong?"

Single paragraphs are fine. I just have an extreme distast for single-line posts in 99% of situations. I think it's just that I don't feel engaged by reading that single line of text. I'm not saying everyone has to write the amount I do (nobody should ever have to do that) but I just like a bit more than a single line of relevance.

Speech is only one part of the whole. Put as much emphasis on it as you want, but it won't be a full convey of someone's response to a situation.

Alright, apparently I've missed something: Aren't Scarlet, Lucky, and Marcus all in the same store? Or are they completely separated, and I've been playing my own scenario in my head all wrong?

And I said that whatever happened in the employee only section would probably be either too quiet to notice, or written off as more thugs harassing people. I did not, however, expect William to take their guns and execute them. O_o

Same store, only Lucky never actually formally walked into the store. He's presently hiding in the doorway, and presently believes Scarlet to be one of the hoodlums. (he missed the rousing m.o.)

I think the character in question is too morally correct to hit a woman from behind, especially in front of his sister (Who are you in the dark doesn't really apply here). But you have given me an idea at least. :P

EDIT: Does this book-store have doors? Because I've never seen a door at a public mall (Besides shutters and obvious exceptions like toilets and staff rooms). I don't think I see any reference to you guys closing the shutters, so I assume Lucky can just stroll on in?

EDIT 2: And that's my dubious early-bird post. For enquiries asking for something more coherent, please leave a message after the beep.

Inferi,
Honestly, I don't remember what power the balbels gave Amelia, but yes, she can use it at least once since then.

I also like more fleshed-out storytelling, which is why I try to get at least half a post in for users. I leave the lengthy parts out of scenarios, like the Storming of Ironwolf Castle, I don't want anyone to read through like eight whole posts just for one response to it*

Annie,
Things will be better for Annie to wield her bow instead of her sword, as her sword can't reach enemies while she's riding a forty-foot walking tree!
