If two people were to use the exact same weapon, with the exact same nexus, and neither of them preferred that nexus, they'd be able to channel the same types of magic.

By putting nexii into different objects, it changes how the nexus channels magic through the object. Think of it as pipes: If you put an s bend where there was a straight pipe, there's probably different flow rates, travel time, pressure, etc. (Clarification: I am not a plumber)

The Nexus guns the goons have are just basic guns; they bestow a small amount of elemental power into a bullet*

**;DR - Nexus power is affected by preferred nexii, and object it is used in.

Wouldn't it be amusing if Duncan's character were in the shop the entire time? :P We could tag team Inferi's character before we have a chance to realise it's friendly fire!

And so the person in the last paragraph of your post is intended to be Scarlet, or is that some random *******? I'm asking because she's not wearing a pair of goggles, and therefore wouldn't be identifiable by the green glows, but I'm assuming it isn't from how you phrased it.

And hey, go ahead and attack her. That'll be bad for everyone, but it would be completely within the bounds of reason. Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.

I'll revise, but the situation was supposed to look something like this: Lucky feels he and his as of yet un-named sister are being chased. The goggles are coming from outside the shop, and inside of the shop is a figure holding what he recognises to be guns.

Not exactly a great situation to be in.

Of course, what I wrote and I thought I wrote probably varies greatly in the wee hours of the morning, which is why I said I'll revise. Which is a fancy way of saying I'll sit here editing this post for the next 20 minutes while procrastinating TO THE MAX .


EDIT: I can see the confusion. I should have exaggerated the phrase "Turning around" into something more like "Pulling a 180", "looking behind him" or something to that degree. It also might not be clear that his sister is calling attention to it, due to the troublesome fact that she has no lines.

Ahh. Well. Yeah.


EDIT 2: I like how my ooc explanation posts always seem to come out faster and longer than the actual posts themselves. O_o I really need to work on that...
