They are currently at a military encampment that mostly consists of Tyrannian soldiers, with a few ogres. The Tyrannians have decided to ally with one of the two Ogre Factions (I don't remember whether it is Og or Ogrin), because the opposing Ogre Faction uses magic, and the Tyrannians hate magic.
Your options are to either join the Tyrannians in their war or accompany Mugwo (the ogre who brought them there) to the Ogre Capital. The Tyrannians care more about stopping the magic-using ogres than finding out what gave them the magic and equipment in the first place, but can give you a front row seat to the fighting. Meanwhile, travelling to the ogre city will (presumably) lead to more information at the cost of potentially missing the action.
The more mercenary/pragmatic types, Alicia and Karstone, want to go to the capital. The more idealistic/good-aligned warrior types, Alania, Kat, and Sir Whats-his-face, want to help the Tyrannians.
