OH GOD NO. Please sir, the only way I know how to feed my family is through adventuring, don't take it away from me!

Glenn was a demon child, discovered through a raid of his father's house. I'm sure that after his escape, there was much talk about the town. Perhaps rumor gets out that a demon murdered a well known conquistador, and burned his house down? Or that an escaped demon who killed someone (albeit in defense of his father) is still roaming around, causing trouble and seducing out wimmen*.

Or make something up, the Goths seem to be an uptight bunch, who knows what fantasies they's come up with.

The Hashashim are semi-religious, so they are secular, but Glenn does not have to be part of their religion. Criminal syndicates are not usually religious organizations; they just want anyone, or anything, to be good at their job and work for them! In this case, the Hashashim would protect their, uh, employees. Glenn just has to watch out for authorities and clerics, and religious fanatics in general.

In the Golden Continent, some desert tribes are pagan so are open to demonic stuff. Pharaoh's People are also open to it. Each continent has up to a few factions which users can read for more info.

I... think I have an idea. Glenn upset a rather wealthy nobleman (took a contract on him, his brother or his business) who happened to be a corrupt heir to a shipping company that subjugated locals and heavily promoted a Goth cultural invasion within the region. If your characters name proceeds him like you implied, he fled for his life on the first ship to Rome - where Gwen was looking for information on... well... personal reasons that are unimportant for now. Since he has resources she needs, she follows him to the land of golden sand to bodyguard him.

Depending on the plot, Glenn and Gwen would fight to the death, become awkwardly inactive or become best buddies.

Does this sound good or far fetched? I'm open to ideas, or could intro somewhere else if too restricting (I think Azi said our end goal is the Northern Continent anyway).

I think that that might work, I don't see why it can't be done. If Glenn and Gwen must meet in the deserts, that may take a while though, but it's up to West; I have to wait for Gwen's introductory story. But I do like how a shipping company is importing a form of cultural invasion, which would work in regards to the Crusader States, but Pharaoh's People and the Roman foothold in the Golden Continent may have some issues in that, or perhaps look upon it as a means for an alliance.

Personally, I was planning for Glenn to get an assignment, so track down and kill someone who was reported to be worshipping a demon, akin to the demon the Templar Knights worship. At the same time, perhaps Gwen may get involved in having to track down Glenn who upset a wealthy businessman who wants revenge as well as propagate/support the Goths and/or crusaders in the Golden Continent.

Also, I did not mean to imply that the end-goal was the Northern Continent, but that each continent has an arch demon somewhere, so every continent must be explored when the main questline comes.

EDIT: I'm actually starting to get doubts now. O_o

Yeah, you probably should be.

And I would, but that does kinda involve me writing a bio.
Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.

Chaser, I just posted your character's opening quest; feel free to complete the assignment in any way you wish, so basically you are free to manipulate the environment and all characters within the quest. You are allowed to take your time, or assembled the quest in multiple phases or chapters if you choose. You may also create another major character, or create a minor character, to supplement Glenn's assignment. You can also simply add NPC-like characters to help him out as well, such as the Guild getting several hashashims to suddenly help, a rioting crowd to be an obstacle, wild flying animals appearing, or what have you.

If you have any inquiries, feel welcome to discuss them here.
