... I think I might play it safe for now and wait for an easier way into the story. I guess I could write an origin story post about what she was doing before the thread began, but introing before a muster point exists is trouble just waiting to happen. O_o

As I can see, it's the truth, and it isn't even incredibly offensive. Your question seems to be indicating that it is, and because of that I do not see a reason to answer. Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.

Anyways Emo, I would like to increase Gary's age by a few years so I can say he was with the pirate crew longer, to give him more experience.

Because right now he probably only had a few months (and maybe some basic lessons during military training) to become a crack shot with that pistol AND a decently skilled hand to hand fighter. Beneath the gold, the Bitter Steel.
