I'm wondering how everyone would respond to a fantasy world gone modern. Like, it technologically advanced to a modern day situation.
It could be fun. I just find the idea of creatures like Dragons running corporations or Ents fighting for plant rights a little too entertaining...
Cower, worship, or beg. All are valid choices.

I've always been a fan of improbable modern/steampunk technology introduced into a fantasy setting (ie. incompetent town guards with ak47's vs ninjas with magical powerz), but I get the impression you're insinuating the opposite - setting up that whole postmodernism idea of "people are monsters" personified in a slice of life setting.
I guess the question is, how close to modern reality would the setting become with a world full of sentient races (and potentially magic)?

It's a really fun idea! Have you ever read the Terry Pratchett's Discworld or Robert Asp*in's Myth Adventures series?
