Weather is indeed getting fiercer, last night it was only 3 degrees Celsius where I live. We've had cold, wet nights this summer with just a few hot nights, oddly enough.
Tomorrow, I begin my log processor training, having finished my excavator training. I am now a professionally trained, certified excavator operator with seventy-two hours of engine time.
Log processor training is gonna be brutal, as it's a one and a half hour drive to the lumber yard then a twelve hour day, every week day, so I'll have fifteen hours out the home every work day. I'll be training with an actual worker crew in an actual lumber yard in the middle of nowhere. I'll only be available during weekends for the next six weeks and, if I actually start working in the logging industry, I may be busy almost everyday as the logging industry has continuous crazy high hours and endless overtime. Which is fine by me; since working extra for other people never works, it's time to work extra hard for myself and my earnings.
