I'm alive. Been busy. I've been busy with financial, and college related stuff. Mostly college related stuff though. I hope to get something up this weekend. I had to put off posting last week because of these issues. I think I'm all caught up though.

Also I've been reading up on my smithing terms. I looked up the different parts that make a suit of armor. Fascinating stuff. Also I looked up how smiths made plate armor. Insanely difficult stuff, but even back in the 12th century power hammers existed due to water wheels built by the local crafting guilds. They build them at specific rivers. Some still exist too. Switzerland has at least one.
The whole reason I'm doing this is to improve my writing even more. I pkan to post an image of all the parts of armor from a manual. Should help us all.

I used to do black smithing, but wasn't good at it. I still have a propane forge and propane smelter (it's a small one) but haven't used them much. Still need to get a better anvil, the small one just deforms when I hit it, ha.
If you ever need steps or specific descriptions on producing parts of armour, ask me any question. I'll try to help, though descriptions have only so much effectiveness.
I'm learning smithing terms to improve my writing, not because I want to do it. I don't have the muscles to do all that hammering. Definitely seems like hell on the elbows XD
I also have a childhood friend who is a metalurgical engineer. Just a fancy term for a smith as far as I know. You cannot separate smithing from the fantasy genre, so learning the historical smithing terms seems like a really good idea for anything related to smithing in Vampyro.

There are likely several smithing organizations near you that are on Facebook. It's old school, but it's a way to see if there are any opportunities for an apprenticeship. Maybe LinkedIn is another way. Not sure.

Anyway. I'm going to start working on the posts I can get them up by noon, if I drink enough coffee for focus.
