I hope Annie's feeling better. My dad's sister also got covid some days ago, and as a women in her mid-seventies, I was quite concerning. However, she seems to have recovered, as she had two vaccine shots.

Things have slowed down by a lot again. Not sure if I'm supposed to post again in Scions.

I would like to create an RP to try and get things running again, just not sure if it'll work. One concept we haven't RPed about (that I recently noticed) would be a fantasy Ancient Egypt/Egyptian mythology.

I was thinking of a setting where we RP as mummies breaking free of their coffins, using our magic and abilities to defeat something trying to destroy Egypt. We would be like manifestations of certain gods, so if a manifestation of Horus, your mummified body would have feathers, allowing you to fly. If you're a manifestation of Sobek, you can be crocodilian and be underwater to suddenly leap out and attack. Etc, etc, there's lots of gods you can get inspiration from.

Gradually, we would regain flesh and blood, maximizing our powers for the finale, where we must ascend the Great Pyramid to defeat the evil force residing at the top.

Other ideas were undead crusaders invading amid vicious demons. Of course, as usual with my RPs, there would still be some wiggle room, so you can RP as an undead crusader, demon, Ancient Greek/Roman/Nubian/Judaean/Assyrian/Viking/Arab/Persian/etc., as a necromancer or some other powerful entity, or what have you.

I was also thinking of using MidJourney, an artificial intelligence I get access to from by subscription, allowing me to create AI-generated artwork based on my prompts, which would be helpful as I could upload them to Imgur then easily depict characters, scenes, architecture, etc.

I think that some of us (specifically me) have little to no experience with Ancient Egypt aside from preserve dead, follow pharoah, and build pyramid, and that making an RP on it would require some sort of post explaining to newbies on what the gods do. Aside from that if you want, go for it. Just your friendly neighborhood gay boy! =)

Little did we know, the evil power was... aliens.

I've seen a lot of egypt themed stuff over the years, all of it to do with aliens. It's like an echo chamber of people stating that mummification was a crude attempt at cryosleep, and the pyramids were ancient alien constructs.
