Now that I think on it, I should have clarified this, but when Vergas charge they do so on all-fours, as they are naturally hunch-backed. Hitting a charging Vergas in the stomach would be pretty much impossible unless it jumped high enough to allow that kind of strike. The most obvious target on a hunchbacked enemy charging towards you on all fours is either the shoulders, or the skull. Are ricasso's on blades sharp, or are they usually left dull to allow that kind of throw? If they are left sharp, I imagine Malus is in for a nasty cut on his palm.
Lots of things I didn't clarify in Vampyro because I didn't think they were important enough to mention at the time, that I am now starting to wonder if I should have.

Well fuck. Looks like the conservative cunts on the US Supreme Court decided to overturn Roe V. Wade, the decision that grants women the right to an abortion on a Federal (Nationwide) level. Glad I live in a liberal state, but I feel bad for anyone living in Texas.
California, Oregon, and Washington (not D.C., the State) are going to enshrine Roe V Wade into other laws, and I also read that California will vote on legislation that will protect doctors who perform abortions on patients from lawsuits and criminal prosecution from states who are hostile to abortion.
The way Red states, (states controlled by the Republicans in their state governments) have written anti abortion laws is that anyone can in any red state can sue a practitioner in a blue state (Democrat controlled state) like California for violating that state's anti abortion laws. It's bonkers that this kind of language is written into the bills because there is no federal mechanism for doing this. Typically extradition for any crime must be approved by the state a criminal is arrested in, if I Remember correctly. So under the US constitution, California would have to approve of the transfer of the criminal to any state seeking custody of the criminal.
Fat chance of that. California, Oregon and Washington are three of the most liberal states. Some of the laws California are likely to pass will allow practitioners to refuse subpoenas (written court order documents requiring practitioners to supply records usually to be used as evidence in criminal proceedings), it would even allow doctors to go to states like Texas, maybe secretly, and under aliases, to go there, perform the procedure, then fly back to California. California would even pay for a flight ticket, pay for lodgings, food, and maybe even fast track citizenship for women seeking refuge from red state anti abortion laws. I

I don't think this is a good occasion to party. I have a 12 year old cousin living in Michigan who if raped, might be forced to carry the child to term if she becomes pregnant. The thought of her making some mistake and ruining her life scares me to say the least.
