Sakura:
The whispers from Sakura’s Masakari blow were driving Georgy insane.

You know your love for Rina is wrong, She knows it too. You two are abominations… The whispers said.

Georgy ignored the whispers to the best of his ability, but the hallucinations became worse. Though he didn’t know it, he had turned away from Sakura to the right, punching at hallucinations that did not exist, allowing for Sakura to trip him to the ground.

Your real mother would be ashamed of what you have become. Hunters of the night! Murderers! Beasts! Prey! The whispers shrieked. Georgy shed a single tear though he had no idea that Georgy was defenseless.

Malus:

The greatsword flew low at the charging beast's stomach. when the blow connected, it sent the beast flying back. As it did so, the terracotta bomb fell from the dead beast's hand and exploded into a veil of ice, The greatsword remained un-encased in the ice, while the body of the beast had been entombed in a frosty grave.

The other Vergas had retreated for now, likely to warn the vampires. One of the vergas had stupidly left a map of the sewers detailing where the vampire hideout was, as he fled. It was an incredibly lucky find. Scarlet picked it up, walked over to Malus, and extended the arm holding the map to him. Scarlet also released his necromantic hold over the vergas he had resurrected. They fell dead once more. A peaceful sleep.

Erik

While the immense vampiric beast fought the guards, some sort of blast shook nearby. Was the town under siege? Had a petard been used? What Erik could know for certain was that the initial enemy force was present over yonder, and so had to be dealt with first.

The citizens decided to flee the town, where they’d find more safety outside buildings, presumably, which Pallidus had informed of.

“That blue vampire can smash through stone walls,” Erik replied to Atleisti. “A wooden building won’t stand up to him, especially since the vampires can smell the blood of the wounded. Do what you can to help but be ready to save yourself.”

Erik scanned the situation again. “Burgrod, guards, assemble in a half-circle. We won’t be able to overpower that blue vampire head-on, we must encircle him while dealing with the fledgelings.” Erik withdrew a bear trap. “Once we surround him, I will setup the bear trap behind him, and hopefully he steps in it.” The warlord faced Pallidus. “Grasp the largest chunk of masonry your talons can hold. Fly high with it then swoop, releasing it to strike the big vampire if you can. Repeat as often as you can, checking Atleisti once you are tired.”

At that, Erik walked towards the blue vampire, clapping his blade against the rim of his shield to attract the beast’s attention, then...

Sakura

The whispers spoke after the initial blast, distracting the vampire, allowing Sakura to bypass his superior strength. As was custom of the samurai, upon reaching an advantage, the idea of holding back is dishonorable to one’s foe. Those who suffered greatly--and endured--deserved an honorable response.

Fuelled with ever more gusto, Sakura whirled her axe around herself. “Osorerumono wa nashi.” Rather than slam her hefty blade, she dragged its weight along where Georgy’s neck would be, and...

Malus

He spun on his heels while kneeling away from his icebound foe, flying shards clinking against his armour. After retrieving his blade, Scarlet found a detailed map. Malus scanned the details with his glassy eyes.

“Such foolish sewer rats... Scarlet, we shall gift an unexpected slaughter when the time comes.”

By unexpected slaughter, the Drow meant to sneak into the hideout while disguised by shadows and hooded with appropriate attire, ready to unleash a furious bloodbath when the time was right. However, sneaking into the hideout required some guile, and whatever conditions would only be revealed upon studying the map and setting eyes upon the actual base.

Annie handed the dragon fang to Redtooth. She listened what he just told her. She said in a calm tired voice,”it was my pleasure and honor to help. I will you come to your forge. I will play the hero and thank you again for your wonderful gift.” She watched him walk away.

Then she saw Kunigas walk up to her and heard what he just told her. She was felt very tired and replied with a smile,”I agree. It been a very long day and stay for the banquet. I am actually very hungry.”

That’s when a young goblin joined the conversation. She listened to the young goblin news. She said with excitement,”That’s Great news. I really hope we can become allies and friends in the long run. It was my honor to help out.” She was excited for the banquet and then plan go to sleep.

Annie and company entered a banquet hall made with oak log walls, mounted stuffed heads of monsters, thus unencountered, adorned the log walls. One of which Hackskull was very proud of and while showing off battle scars, and claw marks from previous battles, referred to the beast as a “basilisk.” The goblins were in awe of their chief’s prowess and judging by the size of the lizard’s angular frog-like head that was surrounded by razor-sharp triangular teeth. The skull was possibly that of the largest basilisk that had been slain in these tunnels.
Surrounded by goblin admirers both young and old, Hackskull was busy talking, meanwhile long tables, hewn from yew, were lined up into perfect squares for the guests to sit at.

The scene before Annie was quite cozy. Wood chairs were also lined behind the tables. As the venue was being set up, the cooking fires were set alight. Meat was skewered onto iron spits and rotated around an open flame. A hefty number of potatoes were being mashed by goblins with spiked iron maces. As the goblin chefs, denoted by their potato-caked chef’s hats, smashed the potatoes, bits of potato flew across the room in many directions, caking the walls in some places. Bits of potato ended up in some of the weirdest places, including up the clothes of other goblins much farther away from the potato mashers, but the potatoes were left nice and mushy. The potatoes were then passed to other helpers who using a stone pestle to mash the chunks into even smaller bites.

Meanwhile Hackskull’s booming voice drowned out the banquet hall. He was so loud that other guests listened in on his tale. Even Annie could hear the thunderous voice of the chief. Looking at the stuffed head, Hackskull began his tale. “I remember the beast well, it hopped into town like a frog, poisoned two hunters, and made off with two elders, so I took off with a group of seven warriors to exact justice, only two of us made it back: Shatterbrains and I. Thing about basilisks is that a single glance can kill you.” He began. "How'd you kill a basilisk so massive?" A four-year-old goblin child asked. "With courage and determination, child"
He continued his tale.

“As our group tracked the creature deeper into the dark, dreary tunnels, we were all conscious of the fact that if it’s gaze didn’t kill you, surely its venom would. Myth has it that the first basilisk was smaller than a tadpole, but that it’s venom could fell hundreds of men. There is no antidote for basilisk venom. There was an antidote recipe in the Sudovia of old, but that-- like many of the secrets of the surface-- was lost to not just our tribe, but to the humans on the surface as well. If anyone remembers the antidote, they haven’t shared it, since basilisks usually don’t come above ground unless their food supply is threatened.”

Hackskull’s attention shifted to the entrance of the banquet hall. The council entered the banquet hall, as well as the goblin wise woman, the attendants of both followed closely behind, carrying on their backs barrels that gave off a distinct odor that neither smelled good, nor outright stank. Kunigas recognized the smell immediately. “Oil.” he told Annie.
Hackskull resumed recounting his tale.

“All seven of us -- Shatterbrains and I, Ironfist, Moldbreath, Woodjaw, Toadeyes, Axefist, and Feralbrain--We drew lots. He who had the shortest stick was to go into the lair first. I drew the second shortest-- bad luck-- but the hunter who drew the shortest stick was a glory-seeker named Moldbreath. Moldbreath was as vain as they come, he always sought battle, and he was a good warrior. His breath smelled rotten though. He was arrogant because of his skill as a warrior; but those who seek glory often find out that glory comes after death.

Moldbreath sauntered into the basilisk’s tunnels, like an arrogant teenager, he was 35 though, and getting up there in years. He had a short grey goatee, and grey skin, and blue eyes, and a horned helmet made of wood, and wooden armor. His weapon was an axe of decent quality steel gifted to him by the dwarves. He entered the tunnel as if he thought he was going to be the one to cut off the beast’s head. We followed behind him closely. It was several hours into our excursion when we found the beast, A giant frog-like creature; or rather, the monstrous frog found us.

The beast had slimy black, scaly skin, bulging eyes, razor-sharp teeth, with fangs reminiscent of a surface saber tooth tiger. And it smelled! Reeked even, as if it had bathed in sulfur and feces.” Hackskull said.“How did it find you?” a goblin girl with blonde pigtails in a pink dress asked. Hackskull turned to the girl “They are blind, and hunt by scent and sound. Heavily armed warriors do a lot of clanking with their gear.” Hackskull said. “Moldbreath caught the beast’s glance, didn’t he?” Another goblin, who appeared to be the girl’s father, asked entranced by Hackskull’s tale.

Hackskull shook his head in an emphatic "no."

“Worse,” he began. “He got nicked by the beast’s fangs. Basilisk venom secretes from their two largest fangs. It is not only deadly, but it is an agonizingly painful and slow way to die. We goblins have a saying: “Those who seek nature should prepare the cremation pit first.” There are plenty of ways to die in these tunnels. Nature is as beautiful as the auroras above, but as savage as cruel midnight. Moldbreath learned this the hard way. The venom paralyzed him from the waist down, so he felt every agonizing second of the venom’s fury, as it blackened his flesh slowly.

We held up our mirror shields, to block the beast from our sight. I prepared for the encounter. The one thing that a basilisk can’t stand, is the odor of a weasel. When I brought the cute little furry mammal out of the bag, the beast recoiled back in overwhelming disgust and tried to block the stench from its nose.”

The goblin baker at the ovens put in Pyragas-- Sudovian pies of unknown flavor – into the oven, it did not take long for the delicious scent of cinnamon to overwhelm the hall. Elsewhere the goblin councilmen sat at their tables. Their attendants sat with them. They appeared to be bored, and their body language showed it, they placed their heads on the palms of their hands and were tapping their feet, like schoolchildren bored with instruction.

Hackskull began his again. “We approached the beast, but as we did so, the monster jumped onto Feralbrain, squishing him like an accordion. Feralbrain joined us on the hunt on a whim, he had training, but years of breathing cave fumes made him crazy, he had a love of explosives, and he was setting some up at a cavern support column, when he got squished.”
Some of the goblins wretched, others thought the matter humorous.

“His death was not funny, guys! Anyway, the beast jumped with feral fury towards the youngest Warrior, Toadeyes, who was barely fourteen. He was legally an adult when he joined us. A burly lad, he had the largest green eyes of any of us. He wore a very crude iron cuirass, but it got the job done. I believe he was saving money to get better armor, He wielded a war axe of questionable quality, but it had been in his family for generations.

He attempted to mount the beast’s scaly back when he got the venom shot at him. He had just come of age, too, when he joined us in our hunt. It was his right. Toadeyes slumped in pain after the venom took hold, and he was paralyzed in the same manner as Moldbreath. Lying flat on the ground, he moaned in pain.” Hackskull said. Meanwhile glasses of green, frothy ale were poured into large stone flagons for all the guests including Annie.

Hackskull continued his tale. “Axefist managed to get close to the beast before the beast shot out its sticky tongue, grabbing him; then the beast retracted its tongue back into its mouth with Axefist still in its grip, like a fly. Our smith Ironfist charged at him with the hammer he used for blacksmithing. Ironfist lost his right hand in a cave-in as a young man, so his father forged him an iron limb, the wise woman enchanted his limb to be able to move, as if he never lost his limb at all.
