In the basement there were chairs and a table which were moved by Atleisti to be used as an examination table.
There was a sword hanging up high on a mounted display, and there was a fireplace with a fire still shot off embers. If the vampires broke through, the healer would use the sword. He knew a bit of swordplay. In a nearby room, there was a bed.
He made a quick count of his patients, many of whom were children that could not flee the assault.
One of the children had taken an arrow to the right thigh just outside the clinic. The healer put the child on a bed. He wanted his patient comfortable. Atleisti dragged him inside minutes ago. He was barely 15 He wore a blonde ponytail and was thin framed with green eyes.
His patient was losing blood quickly. He used his scalpel and ripped the cloth of his trousers open around the thigh so that he could get the arrow out. The arrow protruded from both ends of his thigh he then used a saw to cut the fletch of the arrow off, then using his scalpel to cut the fastenings from the arrowhead, and his forceps to take off the arrowhead from the wound as delicately as possible. He gave the kid some vodka. Just your friendly neighborhood gay boy!

“For the pain.” he said. The kid nodded and drank a third of the bottle. “Foul stuff, innit?” Atleisti chuckled. The kid coughed from the alcohol. “Just do what you have to do, healer,” the boy said. Atleisti nodded. Then the healer ripped out the shaft from where the arrowhead was protruding. This caused the kid to howl in pain.
“Did you get those unsteady hands from your whore of a mother, healer?” the kid asked in a hostile manner.
Atleisti ignored the statement. The sad truth was that without the vodka, the pain would have been much worse. He could not get angry with his patient. It was against his work ethic. It reminded him too much of his mentor, Kunigas, who would yell at patients who didn’t follow his instructions. Atleisti did not see why his granduncle fell in love with the man.
Losing his anger could hamper his ability to stay focused. Instead, he gestured for two of the less injured children to help him. This boy was barely 10, and he had been sobbing earlier from stress. “I want you to wrap the cloth around his wound tightly,” Atleisti said. The child nodded wrapping the cloth around the wound tightly. Atleisti took over from the kid and tied the cloth into a knot.
Atleisti closed his eyes, and yellow mana surged from his hand over the wrapped wound. In his mind, he became one with the wound, he reached out mentally mending torn ligaments and nerves, weaving the skin back together, and rejuvenating torn tendons. Once the wound was closed, Atleisti cut off the mana flow. The young man in question sighed in relief, then fell asleep. Atleisti was also tired. He turned to the kids. He took a deep breath “Children, we are staying down here. Any vampire that tries to open that door is in for a nasty surprise. Now help me clean this young man up.” Yes, mister.” the other kids said. Just your friendly neighborhood gay boy!

While Annie waited for her items, she moved to talk with Vyras. The old man had smiled at her,
“Taking down the dragon and securing an alliance few would have thought to gain. You’re outdoing me, kid,” Vyras teased “But there is something I must ask. Before I do, I need to know: How much about Sudovia’s geography do you know? If you are to fight in this land, it serves to reason that you must know the land.” Vyras reasoned. Just your friendly neighborhood gay boy!
While Annie waited for her items, she moved to talk with Vyras. The old man had smiled at her,

Vyras nodded, “I brought one of Darius’ maps with me,” Vyras said as he sipped some of his tea. "Still hot" he said. Then he unfolded a map of Sudovia on the table.
Vyras pointed at the village of Tuba. “Let’s start with your village, Tuba. It is northwest-ish of the capital Vilnius in the forested hills. We in the resistance avoid the area because of the vampiric fort, though it helps to know we now have someone from the area in the resistance. Vilnius is not the nicest city, but at least the locals are mostly supportive of our efforts. Their support of our cause is part of the reason the Naktians became as large as we are.” Vyras said as he took a sip of tea. Just your friendly neighborhood gay boy!

Look at Lexius and his many vices. Look at Balta Mirta. She was never supposed to take over the clan from her husband and caused Clan Gern to schism. Sneaking up on vampires is a feat to be applauded though. They have heightened senses."
Vyras pointed at the map. "All of southern Sudovia is Orc territory. In particular the orc stronghold of Argash-Lun is one of the most beautiful strongholds they built. Many of the orcs there are mages. Orcs aren't normally associated with magic. Orc mages have been known to accidentally kill themselves with magic because they tend to focus all their mana on a single powerful spell. Argash-Lun's mage academy was created to train that instinct out of the orcs. Just your friendly neighborhood gay boy!

"Can't say I've heard from the old coot for a while. He's old. Older than me, even. Might be that he is the greatest mage to ever be born in Sudovia. We had our disagreements before we parted ways, but he wanted us to acquiesce to the vampires, and I wanted to fight them. Once we took over the resistance from the elders and decided to fight, he left, called me a fool, and an idealist, and headed to northern Sudovia. We'll talk about that in a while." Vyras said before pouring himself more tea.
"Southern Sudovia is known as the Bad Lands. I do not mean desert. The area is swampy and thick with Vampiric Venus Flowers. So thick that the Orcs of Argash Lun routinely have to clear the road to Argash Lun. One such Orc was Zurga's father. One of the flowers ate the man and swallowed him whole. Zurga was there when it happened. Kunigas tells me that she still has nightmares of those flowers. Southwestern Sudovia is infested to such a degree with the plants that it is considered suicide to go exploring there. To my knowledge nobody has tried it. Just your friendly neighborhood gay boy!
