Balvin shook his head at Annie’s reasoning, “Looks like we got a do-gooder here, Eidric!”

Eidric nodded and scratched his beard, “I’m more disappointed with Leonas. Didn’t know he was a do-gooder, either!” Balvin nodded and nudged Eidric's elbow.

“They’re practically cut from the same cloth. Two do-gooders unwilling to have a bit of fun!” Balvin hiccupped drunkenly. Leonas bowed his head down trying not to show the stress on his face. Balvin and Eidric were too drunk to realize it, but they had brought Leonas to tears. His glasses prevented the tears from falling to the ground. Leonas clenched his fist. Arturias remained silent though his face betrayed disapproval at the display of cruelty.


Eidric nodded, “Cut from the same cloth, indeed. You know they have a lot in common, perhaps they should kiss!” Eidric said, Balvin laughed. Arturias was livid, he could already see they were feeding off of each other’s cruelty, Arturias was gritting his teeth though he kept his mouth shut.

“Let’s get out of here, give these lovers some space. Space to make LOVE!” Balvin concluded the merciless teasing and got off the ground following Eidric, who picked up the box of stink bombs and walked off. Where they ended up going was anyone’s guess. Just your friendly neighborhood gay boy!

Arturias stayed behind. “Drunken buffoons... You doing alright, Leonas,” he asked
Leonas tilted his face up. It was red with rage. “ Hardly. Looks like Alauda was right, she said, ‘Don’t throw in your lot with them, they have a mean streak” I only wanted the alcohol. Let’s go to the training grounds, all three of us I’ll introduce Annie to her,” Arturias shook his head. “Can’t I have to oil up the bows for the fletcher. I promised I’d be there to help him oil them and string them” Leonas nodded and pushed up his glasses. “ Looks like it’s just you and me, Annie.” Just your friendly neighborhood gay boy!

Leonas thought about Annie's question for a minute, " I knew they were mean-spirited, but they were so friendly until they got drunk. Just a heads up, I think they got so aggressive because you showed up, Even Arturias looked at you kind of lustfully at first, at least before the cruel teasing, then he just felt bad for you and me." Leonas continued,

"I won't be surprised if Arturias confronts them later. They took their aggression too far, and Arturias hates cruelty of any kind... This whole thing happened because a pretty girl arrived. Did you notice how they fed off each other's cruelty, Annie? It's hard to tell for sure, but I think if you separate Eidric and Balvin, they might calm down a bit, and be a bit more respectable. Anyway, I don't think they are worth the trouble." Just your friendly neighborhood gay boy!

Annie:

"It is no problem, there was nothing you could have done, and I'm certain Vyras will have words once I talk to him about it" Leonas said as he walked.

"I, too wish to fight the vampires, Unfortunately, I still look too young, but I have a plan to sneak out. Sneaking has always been my specialty, that and poisons. It's a good thing you didn't punch them. They're so drunk that they'd have trouble getting off the ground." Leonas chuckled. The training ground came back into view. "Here we are," Leonas said before opening the door. Inside was Belar, who was finished picking up the mess, " Annie!" Belar said concerned, " I saw you go off with those idiots and was like, damn I need to get her away from them, but I couldn't just leave Metras to pick the mess up. I'm deeply sorry I let you go with them, were they trying to get you into trouble?"

In the distance, also was a skinny drugal with a mohawk made of brown feathers, piercing gold eyes, and a golden beak, she wore a white doublet that sported wing holes, and brown trousers, on her chest was the sheath for her dagger, and on her midsection was a belt with sheaths for throwing knives and she was busy practicing what appeared to be different assassination techniques on a single dummy.

For these excercises, Leonas recognized, the drugal lady needed plenty of space, which was evident as she was taking to the air and swooping down with her dagger in hand and stabbing the dummy. Several other dummies had also been set up in such a way that she would need to sneak around them or fly up to to get above them. It was to simulate an assassination. The Drugal's techniques were stunning to say the least. With grace and agility, she flew into one dummy set up on a shelf and pulled it back to stab. Another was perched up high, she pushed that one off its high place. Sneaking around the last two dummies, she then made her way to her target, Just your friendly neighborhood gay boy!

And stabbed it in what would be the neck of any unfortunate vampire who crossed her path.

Even though Leonas was some distance away from the drugal, she turned her head towards him." I can hear your breath, human from over here." the drugal said out loud before turning around. " Oh, Leonas. Who's this girl? She your girlfriend?"

Leonas shook his head at the drugal, and took a swig of wine, "Nah. she's just a friend, I prefer to get to know the girls in my life before any sort of affectiom can begin, and we both fell in with the wrong crowd." Alauda nodded. "I can see that. You should dump that wine. We are still on high alert, and I hear the guards down here are clamping down hard on liquor." Alauda said in a concerned manner. Reluctantly, Leonas dumped his wine glass on the floor, he did not want trouble with the guards, as he was already drunk.

She began practicing again, this time with throwing knives. Taking one knife out of her belt and throwing it into the chest area of the dummy before trying another knife which missed and clanked against the stone wall. Without even turning to Annie she spoke.

"I thank you for getting Leonas to leave those troublemakers, it's an open secret that they are always up to no good I heard from the other youth that they have a nasty prank in the works. Leonas, do you see what always happens to those who try to become the cool kid, they inevitably fail, and look dumb, or worse, dead, or exiled. Best to be uncool, and unpopular but safe, no?" Alauda asked rhetorically " Leonas nodded.

Metras who was still around began sniffing the air. A disgusted look was present on his face. The smell of rotten eggs was in the air and was ever-present throughout the hideout. "Speaking of pranks young ones, Is that smell their definition of harmless fun? Those idiots! I hope those aren't our supply of stink grenades! We need those! If I were younger and not cane-bound, I'd pummel some sense into them!" Metras said in anger. Just your friendly neighborhood gay boy!

Belar and Leonas covered their noses too. "Lathana's breath! That's foul!" Belar said. Leonas stared down at the ground in guilt. Alauda looked particularly miserable. She couldn't just cover her nose the way humans could. She had no nose, and had to breathe through a beak. She'd need nose pegs to block the smell out.

"I've got nothing on me to block the smell. When I find them, I'm going to physically fly them over to Lensa herself. I'll see to it that they're punished severely." Alauda sheathed her dagger, retrieved her throwing knives from the dummy and walked over to Metras leaving them on the table. " Wise choice Alauda, We don't need dead kids" Metras said.

They are not worthy of a throwing dagger to the face, It was nice meeting you. I'm Alauda and you are?" She asked Annie. Just your friendly neighborhood gay boy!
