Twink, I hope I don't come off as rude, but I feel you should read this article:
https://www.helpingwritersbecomeauthors.com/spot-avoid-self-indulgent-writing/
Reason being, is that although I think you took a writing course in college, I feel you are missing a few key points that the article will clear up for you. Although roleplaying and writing are not the same, many aspects of writing correlate to roleplay, as writing is the praxis of how we work it.
Note: Self-indulgent writing is a writing style lacking economy and/or control. Reverse this style simply by focusing on plot progression. Instead of descriptions of character interaction and explanations of backstory, work towards the quests and goals directly. Otherwise, we will remain roleplaying in circles which is wearing me out. I no longer have youthful energy anymore, made the worse my sleep deprivation makes it much harder for my eyes to focus on screens.
Also, I keep forgetting about this, but I think may have misunderstood the purpose of Mallus. He wasn't intended to make an army. Here's what I thought you had in mind:
Mallus goes to the port, finding his brother (a captain of a ship mentioned in Mallus' bio), who takes him to the continent.
Upon arrival, Mallus' inner demon senses an old friend, guiding Mallus to Annie's subplot. I recall reading in Annie's subplot dialogue of people ripping out children's hearts and eating them, which I thought was a reference to Mallus' sister, who also did that, as did her army mentioned in the bio.
Once Mallus, Annie and the goblins deal with this situation, everyone eventually regroups and can finally progress to the finale of the roleplay, involving the vampire leaders and the poetic prophesies.
Oh, and you are brave and mature to admit another fault so soon. If there's something causing you extra stress in life, sometimes taking a break for a few days is what's needed. We all have all the time in the world, there's no race.
