Shortly after Vyras said those words that some of the dead plants began convulsing, and flopping like fishes out of the water. For about five seconds they flopped, until disgusting explosions of toxic black pollen, and green dead plant matter shot out in all directions from them.

Vyras put his finger on his chin. Annie likely suspected that the old man was in thought. "The pollen can't reach us up here, it is heavy. It is not only the pollen that is shot out, the seeds are shot out as well. We can kill one, and a few days later five more will sprout in the same location its "parents" were killed. Sorry, Azi, we are moving on. Also Brandr is my new character. I will get a bio up very soon, cuz bio application and stuff. So what was the point of multiple paragraphs explaining the threat of the plants and Vyras demanding something be done about it?

Brandr just arrived at an opportune time, Vyras would clean the roads, but he has to make sure that everyone makes it to the hideout safely. Brandr's presence on the roads means that he can delegate the task to Brandr.

Explaining the threat is useful because we are going to be continuously running into these flowers from now on. Ad nauseum, actually. They will be some of the most frequent enemies your characters will run across. Vyras is just doing his job as the Rp's mentor character. Just your friendly neighborhood gay boy! =)
