I'm a firm believer in the idea that simple, small acts of kindness can change the world, if enough people are behind the idea. To change the world at large, we would have to be wealthy, influential, powerful, or outright geniuses, in the vein of Nikola Tesla and Einstein. But we don't have to be any of those things to make a positive change in our local community, or even in our general area. And I think, all acts, even small ones, have a sort of ripple effect on everything as a whole, whether it's evident or not.

Canada is, from what I've heard, a lot less demented than the US. Living in a whirlwind of disgust that our media perpetuates, I've come up with a few coping mechanisms for it. I try to take life in twenty-four hour doses, and not think too far ahead, or too far behind. Although, in my experience, thinking ahead is greatly preferable to looking behind.

But what's the use in dyin' if you don't die tryin'?
