Now that you mentioned it Gun, I think you've made a good point. Although it is a bit cold to simply seclude oneself from the suffering of the world, at the same time, well, there's just nothing we can do about it. Especially folks like us, who aren't wealthy, powerful, or influential. The best we can do is to try and make the world a bit better, even in the smallest ways, as you, mentioned. Ha, good beer, like East European ones from government-issued liquor stores.
As for the news, they do tend to be biased, to manipulate the populace, but it's not so bad up here in Canada. The news is like W*kiped*a; it's a start, but go into a little journalism for better info. And I think you've formed a great analogy for living life, considering all those natural disasters and biological changes, we've gone a long way, can't stop now. I should look at the light more than the dark as you say. Thank-you for typing all that out for me, it really shows me to look up higher.
Ha, another good point Emo, but then again, some germs can survive boiling water and even absolute zero, so at least those little bugs will be around, to evolve and develop at their own pace.
