George,
Ah, OK, so we got all that cleared up! I wouldn’t be surprised if I also had Asperger’s, but yeah, we accept it and fly, why not?

I also struggle with small talk, and also simple questions, I think. Since I am a history enthusiast, I don’t talk for ten minutes, I talk for ten hours.

Rainbow,
Oh no, that doesn’t sound nice at all, I am sorry your autism has that much of an affect on your social life. If I recall correctly, Annie also alluded she had autism. So we seem to have two Asperger’s persons and two autists, but I don’t consider autism or Asperger’s mental problems, I consider them different kinds of thinking.

On the bright side, Annie and Rainbow, your diagnoses are not that bad. I can begin and continue conversion, sometimes in the wrong direction, and when I get angry I can be very mean, so shyness often shields you from heavy outbursts I’d bet. Pros and cons in everything!

West,
I never played the later Fables, but Reaver sounds like quite the psycho. I don’t think my darker characters sacrificed people to ‘evil gods’ but lean more on out-eviling antagonists whilst eagerly going after antagonists, or preferring that route.

Azi. My condition is called PDDNOS (Pervasive Developmental Disorder Not Otherwise Specific) I have no idea where on the spectrum it lies, but it's there. In short, I've always matured a lot slower than other people. I used to be unable to keep a conversation going without abruptly changing the subject. My hatred for my condition comes mostly from the mean things people said behind my back. They called me a retard for some of the weird noises I made, which is not fair, but I see where they were coming from. They wanted me to grow up.

They called me a "retard" so much that I internalized it and even call other autistic people retard, especially if they are cognitively impaired, because I see something I hate about myself, and then take it out on a person who does not really deserve to be called something as demeaning and hateful as that. =/
Just your friendly neighborhood gay boy! =)

Because they look at people with autism or any other disabilities that they are stupid. They just learned a little differently. That’s all.

Partially true, but there's no denying that many people on the spectrum have significant difficulty with things that many people consider simple. Social interaction is often one of those things, and not always for the reasons you'd expect. The school I went to had a large quantity of students on the spectrum, I was in a group for autism support for a few years, and to this day I still meet and pay DnD with others who have aspergers - based on all of this experience, it's bloody hard to nail down any commonality. It affects us all differently.

Often times we end up hating each other due to particular intricacies of our disorder, so in truth you're not far off from how many of us are in the community Rainbow. Some are hyper brainy on certain subjects, others have trouble tying their shoes, many make odd noises - myself included sometimes - and some are REALLY social but have no social awareness, so they're seen as awkward or creepy. Which really does suck, but at the same time if someone doesn't enjoy hanging out with someone then there isn't much that can be done about that.
I am Inferi.
