My feelings over the recent posts were similar to Inferi's, though he said pretty much everything that needed to be said at the time.

One thing I do want to point out though, is that in the hallway nobody seems to have reacted to Hadrian's pledge. That is, the part from where he said 'I am Hadrian Hallow' up until 'Last Princess of Sudovia'. That paragraph would've been audible to the vampires and slaves present, albeit nothing else would've been heard by anyone but Lia. If they wouldn't have reacted to it, fair enough I guess, though it seemed like something they would react to beyond continuing to stare. Or at least, the two retainer vampires might've - since I presume Lexius wouldn't have been there for that part.

The scene started as a fight, quickly became a 'fake duel' due to onlookers showing up so the pair couldn't speak openly, and worked up to the meaningful climax of Hadrian doubling down on his pledge of loyalty (after understanding the riddle of who he was fighting) to Sudovia and particularly the last remaining member of its royal family - made before witnesses who may not have fully understood the gravity of his words. Not the chaff at least. I presume Inferi wanted to wait for your posts before posting a reply, Rainbow, to see how Hakkon and Sven would react.
I am Inferi.

I genuinely think that even though they did hear, the probability that Hadrian and Lia would die in the siege is so high that they would have laughed it off as blathering. He may have defeated a lot of them and be covered in blood, but someone would strike him down. There's also the probability that Lia and Hadrian might die due to elven friendly fire. Elves in this universe are extremely jumpy and shoot without thinking. I can do more edits to reflect this. Will be easy. I had the reaction in my original post but posted the first part, got distracted, and forgot to add the reaction.

Yeah, but Lexius is drunk and in a not in a state to be able to process anything but his own anger and drunkeness at his mother humiliating him in front of his slave, and presumably the guards in the 4rth floor aerie where she keeps her pets. (I should have added those guards into the scene)

Lexius is also going back up there to do something presumably bad.

That reaction was honestly all I really wanted, so thank you so much for editing it in. I know it probably seems like nothing but it’s really meaningful to what I’m trying to write for Lia.

I do have a question, though: does age directly equal power here, or is it more dependent on how the vampire has lived their unlife? I’m just trying to gauge various power from characters and npcs and try and figure out how stuff would stack up.
Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.

It's not that it means nothing; It's that I am inexperienced with running an RP so I didn't think to do it.

As far as which type of vampire has more power. There are three types.

You have the vampires who have drank the blood of other vampires, either willingly or unwillingly. These are the weakest of the vampires. This includes you and Vyrl, Inferi. As they get older they get more powerful, but they will never reach the power levels of a pureblooded vampire.

Then you have the Purebloods. Balta, Lexius, and Tingus. Even Sudaro and his mother are purebloods. They are very powerful and they only get more powerful as they age. To become a pureblood means undertaking a ritual that will likely kill you and ressurecting you into something called a Vergas who are related to vampires, but actually aren't because they eat the dead and have no inclination to drink blood.

Then you have the Originatus. Vampires who have existed since the gift was bestowed to mortals. They are not pure-bloods, nor are they lesser vampires. They are the original vampires, and it would take an army of purebloods to actually take them down. There are 5 of those vampires, and they are both on Sanguinos One for each great house. Yet they do not actually lead the great-houses. They are the actual rulers of the vampire kingdom itself, and the great houses defer to them. Even with the discovery of Sudovia, they have no interest in it. Only Clan Gern had any interest in it.
