I'm alright. Yesterday, I did my eye examination. Cost me $79, but the first price was $119, so I saved $40. I lack depth perception and peripheral vision, but not enough to need glasses, so the prescription remains optional. In one category, I have 20-20 vision, my older brother has 20-25 vision, but I need 20-30 vision to be able to get my Class 1. So, despite getting 90% on my first try for my written exam for my Class 1 L, and paying $79 for my eye examination, I may not even be able to get my Class 1 L at all.
For those who don't know, Class 1 in British Columbia, Canada, is what allows you to legally drive semi trucks, as well as limousines, ambulances, and air brake-based heavy machinery. There's a big demand for Class 1 and Class 3 drivers in Canada, and you only need grade 8 to get started, plus $7500.00 CDN to do the course, plus the air brakes course. We'll see what happens.
