In simple terms, I'm aiming for a reverse Isekai gone wrong. Characters from a dystopian fantasy got reincarnated into our world, but were followed by whatever they were escaping from.

It sounds fine to me, honestly. As I always say, I'll really need to see that actual write-up before I can say whether or not I'd commit, but the idea itself isn't a turn-off. Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.
