I have just a question about the stories and such on here.

Are most read? Are genuine replys given? Are people always just mean in this part of the
forums as they are in some of the others?

Unfortunately, most of the Storytellers have abandoned this forum. The only two who remain are Azi Demonica and Deltaslug. Azi does generally provide feedback to new stories, and Deltaslug does occasionally come out with a short story, but to my knowledge that's about it. So unfortunately you won't receive much active readership.

It's mostly Roleplayers now, though there's only a handful of us as well (about five or six who remain active.) If you want to write, I would suggest you turn to roleplaying as it in itself is a form of storytelling - it's essentially telling a story within someone else's story, and having your own story react to the stories of others. The general format of a Roleplay is that the thread owner dictates the overall plot, while the other Roleplayers create and write about characters who follow that plot. I find that this is more engaging and interactive than story telling.

Though if you want to write Runescape-related content, you should be aware that Roleplays don't really cover that any more (most prefer to create their own settings and plot.)

People aren't mean here. All the truly mean people left a long time ago.

I am unsure if i want anyone to read my story. I Just have that urge every once in a while to share it.

Role play ... haha I do that every day with my character and every NPC i meet.

But if i write 1 or 2 reading it would be more than fine. haha More would make it scarey!

You're thinking of in-game roleplaying.

Forum roleplaying is entirely text based - you write it as you would a story, from their character's perspective, and then the other roleplayers write from their character's perspective.

If you post something, I'm sure at least one lurker will read it. ;) I tend to refrain from giving comments, however, since a half-arsed analysis is worse than no comment at all. Also because most of the stories people bump are years old, and the original authors have probably moved on.

I wonder how George would react to a grave-bump bio...

there is a cycle of defeatism. true, people don't post often. because of that, people think no one uses the forum. because of that, it scares off potential from posting.

Go ahead and post your stories. short. long. doesn't matter.
you may get feedback.
at minimum, it gives you a chance to see how well it would look posted and give you an added chance to edit it.

besides, the forum could use some new posts once in a while

and there are no rules against you posting your stories on multiple sites

Lady, about stories,
This forum is basically dead for stories. As already said by NotFishing, I sometimes provide feedback, and Delta sometimes posts short stories. However, if you wish to make RuneScape fanfic, I would highly recommend doing so at fanfiction.net.

The only ‘mean’ person here would be me, hence why my main account, which was over ten years old, got permanently banned for hate speech, but it was also my means to permanently end my RuneScape experience, an end, once and for all.

If you plan on making original stories, Wattpad is the best site for that.
