Inferi, halp.

I need a reason for a soldier from the Verosian Church to be excommunicated or dishonorably discharged, but in truth it's actually a misunderstanding or a result of a family feud with one of the higher-ups. You haven't gone into details on the Church's policy, but could you list a few reasons they could dismiss him? Also is there any corruption in the Church he could have potentially taken a stand against? Because that would work too.

And what are some common prayers and such that he could mutter throughout the thread?

I'm very aware, Annie. It's not that I won't post, it's more that I can't. I'd prefer not to post on any device that doesn't have an auto-recover feature, and for personal reasons, I can't always access such a device on demand (or, rather, I don't have the gumption to kick people off. It's just awkward to teach grown adults about sharing my stuff, y'know?)

So, yes. I can read posts, stay up to date or even post small comment here. But this doesn’t always mean that I can post.

Ryder's post may seem like a skip, but I feel it's important to note that his inaction is based on a choice, not because of my laziness. :P I do have a few quips, but now isn't the time to use them!

How about unintentionally being part of a heretical plot by one of the Council members (the Council is one of the ruling forces of the Church, although they don't have all the power) that he was part of for whatever reason you'd like, whether it be that he was a student of the man, or that he thought something else was going on/was misled about it, or whatever? That would certainly have gotten him kicked out, I can tell you that much.

I never came up with any.

Realistically, there's nothing set in stone for it. All worship is dedicated to the Goddess, a singular deity that's said to be the creator and protector of everything, and how one worships Her is really up to them. If you'd like to come up with your own stuff that seems right, go ahead. I just don't have anything on the mind currently to give to you. Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.

Alright, and what are some ideas on what his actual rank would be? Is it standard military ranks like Private and Corporal, or does it have some religious terminology like Paladin or Acolyte? I'm thinking he will have been with the church's army for a few years. Beneath the gold, the Bitter Steel.

The standard military has a more traditional military rank system, whereas the specialized forces (which he wouldn't have been part of) have more individualized titles. The specialized forces used to be the main fighting forces for the Church, but in more recent years that role has been taken over by the more standard military due to the increasing size of everything.

As for his personal rank, it probably wouldn't be too high if he was swept up in something like that. Anyone in any kind of position of authority would only have been there because they knew what was happening and were assisting with it.
