The question is, why would you need to build housing? There are already a solid supply of adequate pre-war housing and facilities.

Humans grow smarter as we congregate into communities; in the fallout universe, people are having trouble just talking to one another without blowing eachothers heads off. Culture and ideas would stagnate and devolve in such a society as people offed themselves one by one.

Well, the place they are at now, they won't be moving from any time soon. In the show they've actually found a proper permanent settlement, and now they're forming alliances with other communities to go to war against each other.

You'd be wrong, if they follow the comic books. But that's a spoiler. :P

From here on out, The Walking Dead is more about rebuilding the country and gang warfare. The zombies, as it turns out, aren't much of a threat WHEN YOU DON'T OFF YOUR F**KING LEADERS AND SEND YOUR MILITARY INTO DISARRAY.

I stopped reading after they met that Princess character, and have been meaning to catch up again.

Don't tell me they lost Alexandria...

Seriously, don't tell me. I need to read it.

Well, to be fair, the comic books and the tv show seem to be seperating. The end of the last season was a pretty big change IMHO, since a character dies who plays a BIG part in future arcs.

Did they off Negan?

DID THEY OFF NEGAN!?

WHY DID THOSE CHEAP BASTARDS HIRE JEFFREY DEAN MORGAN IF THEY COULDN'T AFFORD TO PAY HIM!?

(this isn't genuine anger, I honestly don't care about the show at this point.)

Negan is best character. I love how he is so sadistic, but everything he does is for the sakes of saving the many. He's like a Paragade Shepard, and I love him for that.

Gotta say, the actor is amazing for that role. :P

Fun fact: Zombie Exodus Safe Haven lets you craft a barbed wire baseball bat.

That's how he justifies what he does. In reality it's all for the sake of his own ego. His demands aren't sustainable in the long-term, because they're simply too much.

Eh... I always imagined Negan as having a deeper, more stereotypical 'macho' voice. I'd say the actor is too old as well.

Ha! Well, have fun shooting, then, I guess? Well, a cigar and booze sounds good, though. But ya, chances are, if NASA did find the end of the world coming, they’d probably make no announcement. Yes, a comforting thought.

About a zombie thread,
I tried that, but it didn’t work. Perhaps someone else could do better.

Anyways, regarding an apocalypse, this is the only correct way to handle things:

That’s one tough ladder. ...that’s one long ladder. That’s a lot of ladders.

Yeah, why care about things you can’t control? Might as well enjoy life while it lasts.

I think living in a hot, moist, tropical jungle is the easiest way to survive a zombie apocalypse. The bugs would simply devour the zombies, the heat and moisture would rot them, and the vegetation would stifle them.

Not panicking is the first step to not dying, after all.

West, page 2684
You know, there’s a reason why there’s less tornadoes in Canada...

Lots of kinds of zombies. Necromorphs are probably the most serious, but Reaper Husks are pretty hardcore too, seeing as some can unleash electromagnetic attacks.

Never watched The Walking Dead, so can’t say much about it.

Hm, yeah, FALLOUT should realistically have people who can build houses, rather than reuse scrap all the time.

Bleh, too much stuff to comment about that I don't know about, so that's all for now, from me.

I think it goes a little beyond that - in some of the later episodes, he goes BAT SHIT CRAZY whenever someone brings up the idea of massacring people to make a point. In his mind, people are a resource – every person lost means less tribute. That is his justification, but ultimately, I think he truly cares in his own way. And given his track record, it’s hard to argue - he has the most organised and successful system to date.

I think the saviours would work for as long as Negan was alive, the problem is that the system is suseptable to power struggle after that.
