In Annie's case, she did burn some of a classroom, but that's not really something the government would freak out about. As for Morinth's backstory, when Annie sees the Detective, he was actually looking for Morinth, but Morinth pretended that he was after Annie. So, ya, just in case this was misunderstood, that's what it was.

fyi, to those who care, during RPing, not everything I post should be taken literally. There will be times I try to trick you, often with incomplete dialogue that may play with presumptions or expectations. A little mystery is all I'm trying to make!

I thought the government would want her because she has no control over her powers and might burn something else. Plus she hurt some people too. -Dances-

Possibly, but that has yet to actually happen. Generally speaking, modern law is evidence-based. It's not about what could happen, it's about what has happened. Annie could burn more buildings, but she hasn't burned more buildings, so far. Also, I don't know if a governmental entity knows if Annie can't control her powers/knows she is a Metamorph, but it would be a matter of some concern.

As of thus far, if I remember it right, Annie caused a fire, it was contained, and she was taken to hospital. Presumably, the doctors could assume she is a Metamorph, but the investigation was not finished as Morinth tricked Annie into going with her. Morinth followed rumours of a possible Metamorph that led her to Annie. Veernae, the Salarian criminal, was also involved in kidnapping.

I don't know what other details occurred before Annie's story began, so things are rather vague and incomplete so far in that area. If there's anything else that happened, you are welcome to talk about them, of course.

Anybody down with a relatively modern crime thread, or would I be wasting time if I made one? Feeling the need to flex my creativity for the first time in over a year [alcoholism and an awful relationship do that to you] and trying to figure out if I want to make a thread, write a short story, or both.

If the government thinks she's dangerous, all they have to do is tell X7A to do something about her. It's not a difficult thing. Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.
