Now I'm curious as to what Bridgett thinks this moment of weakness is.

I'm thinking she's pissed off because Gareth lost his cool. If a little girl could set him off, what would happen when he is put under fire? I think it's a fairly reasonable "weakness" to worry about without meta knowledge.

Because Gareth has returned to his "usual" self, Bridgett backed off the subject.

EDIT: Added in words. took none away.

Bridgett might not know this, but one of Gareth's greatest pet peeves is continuously having to repeat himself, and the other is when people completely ignore rational advice, both of which are what the Annie debate had basically been boiling down to. The fact that she's a kid doesn't hold much weight, since he was fairly sharp-minded at her age and wouldn't have continuously put himself forward had he been in her shoes.

Just to explain Gareth's mindset so people don't think he's some loose cannon: He figured that since trying to explain things to her rationally wasn't working, he might as well take a harsher approach, so he channeled a bit of his earlier frustration into his speech, partly to blow off steam and partly to give his argument a bit more force. It didn't work, so now he's just going to ignore her.

TL;DR: Annie alone didn't set Gareth off, it was a combination of various factors.

I personally think that's why Bridgett was so amused by Annie - she probably liked her to a younger Gareth. I didn't explain this in the reaction post because I figured it would be godmodding, and I didn't have a good way to bring up the topic. :P

What I think Bridgett saw was Gareth losing his cool uncharacteristically - Bridgett had never seen him like that, so of course she's going to worry the stress of the situation is breaking him. So, her “worst thing to say” was intended to be more of a check to see if Gareth was alright in “man-speak”.

I hope I'm not lacking anything in not adding much to the conversation in APTtS? I lose lots of ideas when there's only talking going on for too long. I crave environment, details, and adventure! However, it's nice to see discussion of an RP going, it's rather uncommon.

Speaking of which, I will post in APTtS tomorrow night or so. Today, I was quite tired, went to bed at like 2 AM, woke up a few hours later, then woke up again at 7 AM. I just don't have the energy for much.

I couldn't imagine anything worse than playing sports durring sleeping/partying hours!

I suppose if the hockey games go late into the night everyone will be too tired to riot.
