Well, I'll preface this by saying that I need to know more about the reasoning for him leaving on a bad note. The reason for this is that the Church is extremely influential throughout the entire continent: they are the ones who do the majority of the lower education system, particularly for the lower classes, they have churches in pretty much every city, and their opinion is respected - although not necessarily followed - by every leader on the continent. They've been ingrained in society for a long, long time, and although it's beginning to pull away from it slightly they've still got a lot of influence and are well-loved by the general population.

So, with that being said: the religion of the Theosian Church centers around one figure, and that figure is the Goddess. It's a monotheistic religion, venerating the Goddess as both creator and savior of the common man. To this end, the efforts of the Church are focused primarily on assisting said common man in getting what they need to survive. That is, giving education to those that might not be able to get it otherwise, providing a place for shelter for those that don't have it, etc.

That's the general idea behind what they do, really. As with everything, there's more intricacies, but that's a topic for another time.

As for military and command, they're arguably better equipped and better trained than the official armies of most of the countries. Their policy of neutrality has helped them garrison themselves, since they have no trade restrictions. Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.

Also, everyone wants to be in a favorable situation with the Church, given their influence. It's not like they've enforced it at all in recent times, or given anyone a blinding need to, but that's just how it is.

The one in charge is, surprise, the Pope. It's basically the same structure in terms of the religious aspect as the Catholic Church of today. The military aspect is under the command of the Council of Seraphim - although how many members of this there are and who they are is unknown - and under them are the Elite agents of the Church, the people that they send to deal with anything that's extremely important. The only ones with real visibility are numbers 2 through 6 - there's 10 total - since they're the ones sent out for the important conferences and whatnot. It's a somewhat typical military command structure under that, although the ranks are renamed to be more religious.

Canada doesn't treat Trump right, because our Unique Special Snowflakes' tears literally transformed into ice and bombarded the eastern half of USA as a snowstorm.


Anyways, I ordered a snow blower two days ago, and Amazon told me it would arrive on the 19th. The snow blower arrived yesterday, just one day after I ordered it. Pretty darn quick for the free shipping option! Since it arrived sooner than expected, and came when the sun was gone, I decided to postpone my snowy duties regardless. After breakfast, I will do snow removal, then begin the next turn for Wake Up.

It does seem like Canada has been overrun by the "I'm Special" Brigade. It's a shame. Was planning on visiting some day considering I keep getting your guys' change. Don't know how in the hell Canadian coins make it over the lake but they do.
