What's overpowering about shooting fire at nothing in particular while screaming loudly enough to make yourself a very appealing target for the attacking robotic army? If anything, you're just condemning yourself to becoming a primary target while causing very little damage in return.

I'm actually a bit surprise Annie didn't just explode again. Shows what I know.
On a more serious note, if Annie prefers to launch fire and vines vaguely, that's her choice.
Oh I see, OK, yes, I misinterpreted your post, Inferi. Shows what I know. Thanks for the correction, too.
I also reread Annie's post and there's rocks now, too. Seems that psychokinesis is also incorporated with her powers.
Wellll, even if she conjures rocks out of thin air, I think she is using psychokinesis to shoot them, as I don't know how she launches them. Of course, I could be misinterpreting Annie's intent, too.
I mean, if you're going by elementalist powers, one typically assumes that, for that elemental state only, the caster has full control of what they summon. Sure, if someone that was not an elementalist did it, it would be psychokinesis, but they don't exactly have that power unless it's their chosen element.
That's how I see it, at least.
