Okay, before I get too far into this, are these two (separate) abilities allowed.
A) Time manipulation - the ability to stop (or revert) time. Does not affect anything in contact with the caster (the ground doesn't count). I'll admit, I've always considered the idea of a storm of bullets coming out of nowhere kind of cool.
B) Sensory Link - the ability to link, manipulate and stimulate senses. This character would probably fight using "conceptual weapons" against linked opponents, basically hurting people through sheer belief without any physical component.
Basically, these characters would likely be vastly weaker than the main cast, but would win fights through sheer douchebagery.
If I pretended to swing a sword against someone linked with this ability, they would see and feel me swinging a sword at them. To anyone else, it would look like one of those stupid childish fights you see in a schoolyard. In the real world, no actual damage would be sustained - but they would retain the pain and injuries. If that makes sense.
For example, if a person had their arm chopped off to an imaginary weapon, they might have difficulty using their arm. Of course, it would hurt a lot too.
What's wrong with Time Manipulation, btw? Without the required secondary attributes, it would essentially be like fighting a super speedy normal.

Pretending to swing a sword feels like opening a sword wound. Although the concept I'm going for would be more like pelting you with imaginary swords until you fall unconscious from the pain. It seems a little fairer than simply debilitating people.

Too much of an easy out button.
Hostage situation? Time stop, walk in, touch hostages so they're free now, walk them out. Shoot guns at bad guys, unfreeze time, all bad guys die and all other supers just blink and are like "wut?"

True, but I think such an obvious advantage would lead to a superiority complex. The point of the character isn't to focus on what they can do, but how they will react when they can't.
