The issue here, though, is how high on the totem pole he appears to be. I sincerely doubt someone able to create fake companies just to push through illegal goods would be bankrupt by a single ship crash; people like that aren't that stupid.

I don't have an issue with his personality in terms of party cohesion, nor do I have a problem with a smuggler.

Being "willy nilly" makes no sense in the position he appears to be in.

As I stated above, I have no issue with a smuggler character - although it'll probably be one of those bites in the ass at some point in the future - I just don't want him to be a big shot. Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.

Then the solution would be to lower his position in the criminal underworld.

And Azi did just say that his character could be described as "willy nilly."

Where did your posts come from? Interesting you should say coverup, I did originally plan Tyler masquerading as an Irish nobleman. I do rather like the idea of a smuggler losing all his stuff, going bankrupt, and thinking of saving a princess with hopes for a reward, I never thought of that, it would be quite the story.

Regardless, Not’s ideas are definitely way more developed and sensical than what I came up with. So, NotFishing, maybe it means that you should be the one with such a character? You’re definitely talented and acceptable for such a role, I think it would work.

Nah. If I do make a second character, I don't think it'll be someone of a criminal background. Too many disreputable figures in the party already. Beneath the gold, the Bitter Steel.
