I mean, I'd weigh in, but since I didn't expect anyone to even consider jumping off the ship I don't know if I could add any logical input.
Plus I probably shouldn't anyways since I know everything.
What is the question to life, the universe and everything?

Does Bridgett know that the airship is sturdy despite the flames and smoke? If one were to believe the airship was going to crash and combust into nothingness, jumping would be the only option.
The meaning of life is having children.

If I ever have kids, I want ten of them. I would love to have many children, it would be the ultimate test of life, love, manhood, fatherhood, perseverance, skill, patience, and care. I really cannot think of anything more important than children, and so I consider that to be the meaning of life. Ironically and hypocritically, I don't have kids. Maybe I will never have kids, but it would be a great adventure for sure.
