Hm, I'm sure most of ya'll have heard of this plea to stop bullying:

When I was young, do you know how us 90s kids stopped bullying? By punching them. Bullying has, however, drastically lowered, at least in my opinion, now that we have reached the 21st century. Crime rates have also lowered significantly, the highest crime rates, in Canada, being the late 80s and early 90s, I think (I could be wrong).
When I was a kid in Vancouver in the late 90s, during one night, a group of guys with baseball bats passed our car, then proceeded to beating a gay man to death a block away. I don't think small mobs of bat-wielding killers occur in Canada anymore, and I am glad that crimes have lowered, but the individual must be able to preform self-defence, even proactive assault against bogies, because other people, the police, internet, phones, and cameras won't necessarily save you.
I wish there was no bullying at all, not even cyber bullying, but this is not something that can be stopped. So, you're better off knowing how to defend yourself, resisting negativity, and being able to bring a physical fight to your opponents. Though I am a bit of a hypocrite for saying all that, seeing as I never punched anyone since high school, but still, a hypocrite is not necessarily wrong!
