Sort of wondering if I could perhaps get away with a WWII thread here without the mods getting upset. Also, unsure if there'd be any interest.

Considering a couple other ideas as well, foremost being a crime thread. Reminiscent of Cold Streets if anyone remembers that.

Technically, the Roleplaying specific rules as we used to know them are gone. So there's nothing saying you can't do it. I might be interested, but it really depends on what we will be doing. Soldiers? Tank operators? Pilots? Guerillas? Spies?

A very good point that I didn't consider. I'm sort of thinking of it being one of two ways, essentially. The first being more traditional, we'll start during D-Day and we'll play out the ensuing battles throughout the rest of the thread. The second being a little bit more unorthodox. The second idea is that we'd start during D-Day and then after the conclusion of that battle, we could switch fronts. Be a soldier fighting in Airborne on D-Day, then we could move on to like, being a tank crew during the Battle of Kursk, then move on to say, an amphibious assault on Tarawa Atoll or Guadalcanal.

Not sure yet though.

Oh, and Gun, I think you could do a WW2 RP, seeing as, as was already said, there are no rules specifically.
