Mystery isnt my strong suit, mainly because I tend to solve puzzles with a mix of gut instinct, time and a little brute force... both of which tend to get a person discredited in-story, even if they are right.

A good example of this would be my runescape runeknot strategy. I just spam click until rows start to line up, no forethought involved.

Yes, good point West, there's also backstage stuff. I am working on a new RP, based on Delta's suggestion and your points. I think I'm doing a good job, but as is the case, I will be doing a few surprises! This RP should be a really fun one, I just need a bit more work. And, best of all, it's simple. I should be done soon.

I'm currently trying to plan out the tutorial and first boss of my magical girl thread. The other problem is in how I will get strong personalities in the thread. I don't want to restrict creativity, but I also don't want a thread of moderate nobodys. And I don't think you guys appreciate extra hoops in the bio, like likes, dislikes, family situation, theme songs, etc...

I have also been toying with the idea of giving an element and class, maybe a breif overview. Then I'll leave it to the rper to decide how to make the best of their tallents. I don't want a huge emphasis on magic, after all!

A magic-orientated thread, that should be good. Eh, just do whatever you want, chances are everyone's gonna be OK with it.

Classes can definitely help with what you can do. I did that in Scions, sort of, but may have spent too much time on it. But yes, mixing magic with natural abilities and skills is a good OK, I like that.


Anyways, I posted my musical RP, I hope it's easy to go through, it's just like five posts of reading. It's quite simple. I will begin the role-play after at least two different users post, just to see what can happen.
