And thanks! I've been trying to get back into it, but I'm not gonna lie - I'm a bit burnt out on generic fantasy (which seems to be the main genre of choice at the moment). I'd make my own thread, but I'm worried about becoming pressured to post on it, and I don't consider myself a great storyteller anyway. I rush things too much. :L Although, I don't know, if there's a little bit of interest I might work toward making a modern thread with some twist. I'd have to do a bit of brainstorming, of course.

I'm afraid generic fantasy is absolutely my domain, but I can completely understand wanting to see something else being offered to the forums. Runescape's a fantasy game so a fantasy roleplay was always going to be a safe bet on these forums, and I think our numbers have gotten low enough that people don't tend to risk more abstract roleplaying concepts. Which is a shame, and something I've been thinking about changing, but my current goal is to post more frequently on ITF before I start any other threads.

Rushing things isn't bad, my roleplaying style is certainly slow and steady and I'm often puzzled why anyone can stand it. And it would depend entirely what this modern thread would be about as to whether or not I would be interested. What would the plot be focused on?

I agree that eating is important, which is why I make sure to never stop doing it. ;)

I had plans for a modern day roleplay revolving around a group of world class criminals working for a clandestine organization, committing high-risk/high-profit crimes while evading world governments. Ramsay Bolton is the king we deserve.

I understand not wanting to have two threads going when it seems like you never have time for even just one of them. :P I'm not against fantasy, it's just one of those things that I'd like to see something different, even if it dies shortly afterward.

If I have a strongly plot-centered thread, it will surely fail. I am awful at planning long-term key moments in stories (hence the rushing things - I can never stir up enough suspense before a thing occurs, and oftentimes it's out of place and seemingly random). I'd have to plan out what exactly occurs in said thread, whether it'd be a powers thread or not. It needs something unique from the real, modern world, but until I decide what that will be, I can't plan out how things will work toward it. :P

Well if people are interested I could start writing up an intro and all that other stuff. I think Cap might be interested as well.

I'm not good at writing long, overarching plots with a definitive conclusion, but I'll try to make it have some sort of depth. Ramsay Bolton is the king we deserve.
