OK, my new lore thread is done, the last post has the character creation prompt, if anyone cares. Users who wish to add areas, equipment, factions, and whatever, can do so however they wish. I will use the new lore thread for future projects when I come back from my trip.
In the meantime, just waiting for George's and Inferi's threads to commence.
Hmm. I did a character brainstorm for George’s thread, and came up with a sort of cliche backstory. Still, would this be a viable character?
I’m imagining a character who would be in his late 20’s, an ex-soldier who would have spent much of his teenage and young adult life fighting both people and monsters. He has recently settled down after his wife died of illness, retiring into a somewhat cosy town life with his 8-13 year old daughter. His daughter has always been a bit weird though, admitting sometimes that she could hear the earth talk to her.
Naturally, for whatever reason, the girl eats dirt and proceeds to flatten the township.
This character has a heroic bsod in the wake of his daughter slaughtering everybody they knew and loved, wandering aimlessly through the ruins of the town for any sign of life. He eventually comes across a young noble girl, who had survived by hiding behind the flower vases or something. The girl, ignorant of the world, proposes a master/servant contract; the man’s so broken he doesn’t even care anymore.
And, thus, we now have a bossy pre-teen girl wandering around with a badass bodyguard butler. Or something.
West,
Seems like a decent backstory, it's not elaborate or unique, but it works for George's thread. Though, the idea of imagining someone eating dirt, to become evil, is a bit funny to think about. That must be some killer dirt! But, what about sand, mud, or clay? Eh, whatever.

Is that how I usually sound?
Because that is frustrating as hell.

I'm more confident than he is. More control. With me, it's more like: "I edited before you even noticed it was edited".
Exactly! It was a funny scene though.
Annie,
In the thread, there is no implication that there is 'fire magic' or 'earth magic', so you would be adding content that does not exist in the role-play.
