Drugal: The drugal are a race of flying birdmen that are industrious and greedy. Steretypically they are bandits, raiders, couriers, guides and merchants They stalk their enemies from the sky, and are fond of ranged weapons and magic. They very rarely become Gloomwatch, or Sungaard.



Think this would be suitable? It fits so well. O_o

Pretty much. In simple terms, if you have your tech set up so that you're all fire-based, you can throw a much larger fireball, or more smaller fireballs, than someone who has their tech set up so that they can use fire, water, healing, and buff spells.

The same, more obvious rule applies to weapon proficiency, since you won't be as good with a sword as someone who spent their entire life perfecting it if you switched to a gun halfway through yours. Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.

I'd prefer it if you weren't the world's greatest anything...good with it, sure, but I don't want a group of legendary heroes from the get-go.


Oh, and one other thing I forgot to mention. If you're using magic, it's possible to rearrange the matrix - which is what draws the energy from the crystals - you use for it, so you can change what you use in terms of magic. I'm not going to just allow switches all the time, but if there's ample preparation time and people want to do something like that it's entirely possible. Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.
