I need some help. Passed few months or so, the next door trailer has this screechy young woman, who wails like she's being killed or something whenever she argues with her boyfriend. She's the one yelling 95% of the time, so irritated, I went outside so that the couple knew of my presence.

This was easy for me, living next door in my own trailer, but at the same time, I was also practicing friction fire, so it's a win-win. She opened her backdoor twice, and undoubtedly would have seen me, though both times I was busy. Now, they're not arguing anymore. Oddly enough, it's not the first time that, when they argue and see me through their window or door or whatever, they stop arguing quickly.

I noticed a trend: they almost only argue within a few days after their place reeks like marijuana. It doesn't sound like spousal abuse, though, since she's the one screeching almost always, but she does sound like an overemotional banshee half the time. Last time I inquired what was wrong, she was (rather pathetically) running across the road, arms and legs flopping like she's never ran in her life, crying moderately. After being asked what was wrong, she replied "Fff- mind your own business" so I'm guessing she initially wanted to tell me to fuck off.

I am ready to start screaming "SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!" as their bitching is quite annoying, though that might not work. Since I am bad at talking/communicating with people, instead of erupting into rage (again), I think this time, I will ask you guys for help, see what any of you would do. So, what'd ya'll do in this case?

Not seeing a point in calling the police, all things considered, just noisy, disrespectful neighbours. Admittedly, I probably wouldn't do anything if I were in a similar situation, you're not alone in being shit at talking to people and god only knows I don't care to confront people.

Frankly, I'd just ignore it. Then again, I have headphones on 80% of the time so I can block out any noise, and I don't know you wel enough to know if you can ignore it. Calling the police just aggravates the situation though, that much I'm sure of, so you can ignore Annie's advice.
I am Inferi.

Generally, police only respond to serious issues, and arguing neighbors isn't really one of them. Nevertheless, it's usually the best option to alert the police if you feel you're in trouble.

Oh, yes George, you're right, calling the police usually does aggravate the situation. It also attracts lots of attention from other neighbors, I've seen that happen every time basically, so I think I should avoid calling the cops for now. When people are stressed-out, the last thing they need is to be the center of attention.

Maybe ignoring it is the best option. Sometimes, it's best to leave something be, rather than risk aggravating the situation. I certainly can't reveal how I really am, but I don't get angry or irritated easily, but I seem to causally skip casual anger and jump into rage, oddly enough. At worst, I might throw something then just start yelling and swearing with a hoarse voice, using long deep breaths, but that's rare.

Fortunately, it's quiet over there. Now I can finally be outside for more than one minute without having to hear this retarded banshee repeatedly opening and closing the back door, releasing the reek of marijuana. Speaking of which, maybe she's just going through withdrawals.

@Azi
You could try to stage an intervention if you know the 2 well enough.
Or potentially suggest they try couples counseling.

You could always go the soap opera route and casually suggest to her that you've seen him cheating on her. (Either with another woman, using up their stash, or both)

File a complaint with whom runs the trailer park.

Move?

Noise cancelling headphones might be your better bet.

btw, if you're in a Halloween/Horror Short Story Mood:

Mod shauny is looking for ideas for the Jmods.

You could just cobble together a quick horror story (doesn't really even need to be runescapey)

Good thing you're concerned too, Annie, it shows you care. I just think I won't get the cops involved, as I'm on George with this one, I don't wanna aggravate other peoples' stressful lives. Worst case scenario, they get arrested for drug use, which would just ruin their lives, not something I wanna do.

Hm, interesting points Delta, I'll keep a few of those in mind. I don't know them personally, and she did say to ''mind your own business'', so I'm not really sure if I should barge into their life or not. Though, your ideas are useful to think about, but I definitively won't go the soap opera path! I'll think of something, eventually. The WORST thing about living in an old trailer, in that you can hear people easily.

Well, I'm not on good terms with the manager of the trailer park either, who is a constant liar. The manage even tried to evict my dad while he was in Poland, so I had to attend to phone-based arbiter session, and of course, she didn't call in.

I think noise-cancelling headphones would be best! But, we'll see.

Anyways, I'm off to outside for a while, need to practice a bit more friction fire!

Oh, didn't expect a Halloween-themed idea there, thanks for sharing. I probably won't be involved, but it's nice to know.
