I can't imagine that smashing apart a necromorph would be any harder than smashing apart a combat flood. I base this on how Issac can stomp off the limbs of an immobile Necromorph with his exosuit - similar to how you can crush a flood into paste in Halo.
I agree, this makes sense. Though, I'm guessing a Brute would be able to rip Necromorphs apart without too much trouble.

I would just like to note that this is extremely unlikely unless he can see through cloaking systems. He would certainly know that someone else shot it, but not that it's her.

I doubt it really matters, but I just wanted to note this in case it would actually affect something in the future. Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.

Rem's cloaking systems means that, if she chooses to travel alone, she can reach the command centre within your post, if you wish, as she can bypass all threats. Additional help will be met at the command centre.


I would also like to note before I take this bait that I've been thinking about doing this ever since we landed.

Not that I expect anyone to believe me at this point.

Still, the amount of death flags this brings up is astronomical. Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.

So it seems I could have had Gary stomp the Necromorphs into submission...

But ripping their arms off sounds cooler.

Edit: Also seems that Necromorphs are stronger than the Flood. With the Flood, you just need a weapon that'll destroy as much of their biomass as possible - a shotgun or a flamethrower. Or the Halo Magnum, which shoots explosive rounds (as I mentioned in Gary's post - I didn't pull that out of my ass, it's a real thing.) Beneath the gold, the Bitter Steel.
