Does the mad scientist have lab beds or just pods to run tests on his/she subjects?
I don't know. The Mass Effect franchise does not explore the Collectors' tests very much, but it seems to be implied they make extreme use of pods. Presumably, it seems the Collectors are processing humans due to their genetic diversity, which is useful for their scientific pursuits of creating a biomechanical weapon.
I've seen it several times on a single thread, but yeah, that's a new thing.
Also, Fish, I didn't know if we were just making up the amount of money we had but I didn't think it made sense for Ariane to have much at all currently. I'm sure that'll come back to bite someone in the ass soon enough.

Presumably each mercenary would have a bit of coin saved up from previous jobs. But considering that Ariane probably spends a lot of money on ingredients, her being broke makes sense. Although Martin will usually buy the most important ingredients himself or just reimburse her for whatever purchases she makes (if it is deemed a company necessity), as I tried to imply when I mentioned him buying out most of the healing herbs.
He's going to buy anti-poison ingredients when he reaches the next city. Also, sorry if there was any confusion about Yalia's location.
