What was that stuff that killed some of the subjects?
Not funny unh.
It seems that the Collectors' pods melted down Lilith (the colonist lady) and processed her, but Dr. Chakwas says it was done by little robots. The people are being harvested to empower the mad scientist's secret project; there will be more about this later I will reveal to your doctor.
By process, I mean the test subjects are melted alive, sucked through the tubes, and then fed to the secret project, which needs humans to sustain itself. Basically, the humans are being treated like meat for the secret project. Undoubtedly, Harbinger, and his puppet the Collector General, are extremely evil enemies.
In Mass Effect, the Collectors' tests are not explored very much. It just says the Collectors do tests on subjects, but then it is revealed they are harvesting and then processing their kidnapped victims just to use them as food for a giant cybernetic monsters. But ya, yuck indeed, Collectors are brutal! The ambient noises in-game were also creepy.
Annie, I can probably role-play with you in regards to Bob, seeing as Fishing's Covenant forces are still outside, and giving Bob extra posts would be useful to increase his chances of survival, and increase the chances of saving at least some kidnapped people.
