Aquapolis Merfolk:
The Aspects of Good and the Caretakers are genuinely worshiped, while the Aspects of Good and Chaos are seen more as important historical figures worthy of respect and admiration. And they just sort of pretend the Aspects of Evil don't exist - within Aquapolis, mentioning their names or referencing the Infernal Planes is forbidden. Plus, it's kind of easy to ignore the Aspects of Evil when you can't even summon their demons underwater, and have never encountered Vampirism or Lycanthropy.

Tribal Merfolk:
The nomadic Merfolk are almost entirely ignorant. Some schools of Merfolk may worship a specific god they have had dealings with at one point, or know the names of a few others, but if you asked them to name all the gods they honestly wouldn't be able to tell you. Actually, you probably wouldn't even get the chance to ask them anything - most nomadic Merfolk are wary of outsiders at best, and outright hostile or malicious at worst.
