Just out of curiosity, what do you guys think of Echion's gods? I know there's not a lot written on them, but do any of them strike you as interesting characters?
Your deities represent various aspects, which at times reflect the nature or opinions of peoples. For example, Drakonians are not trusted, whereas Drakus is a god represented by one aspect being loyalty.

One of them actually pops out at me, but I feel as though I will be let down a bit here.
The caretaker Ventaris - does he deal only in weather, or is he believed to dabble in other "disasters"? After all, strength through adversity would make for a strong rallying creed for cult worshippers - or heroes of justice.

Depends on what you mean by disasters. Ventus dispenses natural disasters like hurricanes, tsunamis, and earthquakes, because Chaos gave instructions to do so every now and then (strength through adversity, exactly as you said.) However, Ventus doesn't do anything outside of manipulating the weather.
Fun fact: all the Caretakers' names are actually Latin. Mortem means Death, Ventus means Wind, Murus means Wall, and Solun is a merging of the words for sun and moon.
Also worth noting that the Caretakers are non-gendered - don't think of them as people. Think of them as magical robots. If there's an instance where I referred to one of them as a 'he', that was a mistake, and if it's on the lore thread please point it out to me so that I may correct it.

If it doesn't have a gender, I prefer to just call it 'he'. Correct or not, it just makes for simpler speach.
Latin aside, if we talk in terms of mystism, Weather is a strong omen in terms of emotion and conflict. Thus, if you broaden the creed, you could say it's the weather that influences such things.

That's fine. I just wanted to clarify.

Well, Ventus doesn't actually have control over any of those things - they come straight from the mortals themselves. However, I won't stop you from coming up with some sort of cult or offshoot of the mainstream religion that believes Ventus has more power than he actually does.
Many people believe that the Caretakers care more about them than they actually do (see: not at all), and frequently get facts wrong about them. The Caretakers just don't bother to correct them because they don't care what mortals think of them, unless it actually starts to affect what they were doing (Murus would be pretty disgruntled if people started thinking he was okay with Demon Summoning, for instance.)

How does merfolk worship of stuff go? I noticed that none of the aspects are of them, so does that mean they follow such things less than those on the surface?
Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.
