I'm trying to reenact with a broom what it might look like if one accidentally held a poleaxe to their eye while intending to point the blade at someone else. The results are becoming very... silly. O_o

That's kind of what I'm wondering about. Looking back, I'm honestly not sure what kind of relationship Dirk and Anja had with each other (I don't think I developed this particularly well) - and yet, he's probably going to walk in on a random half elf girl crying over Anja's corpse.

I quite honestly have no response for that... at least, not yet. O_o

Depending on the style of fighting, the poleaxe can be especially used with the butt-spike, then the head used as a "final blow" when the chance arises. The spearhead/top-spike can be used to fence with as well. Both ends were used as weapons, so holding the poleaxe backwards is not necessarily a silly stance, you can do it. Longswords, great swords, estocs, and messers also had moves when you grip the weapon upside-down, either in a single move or as a long-term fighting style.

Did any of these fighting styles include looking down your pike like a spy glass?
