Actually I don't even know why I'm trying to keep the concept for this character a secret. I already talked about a while back. And it's not even that original, come to think about it.

He's similar to Anders or Wynne from Dragon Age.

And no, he's not going to turn around and blow up a chapel.

At least, I don't think so.

So, my questions:

Do elementals exist in Engelain? How do they work, so to speak? Is it possible for a mortal being to merge with one?

If not, is it possible for my character to have merged with some sort of ghost or spirit that specifically has power over rock?

I'm afraid I'm unfamiliar with the game.

They certainly exist- Brodus fought one, if I remember correctly. My current imagining was that they are created by mages, and often bound to exist in a small area to be used as defences such as the city that Soahc's band assaulted, though of course they could be utilised for offensive purposes, (something which the Pyromistress does if memory serves.)

As for the possibility of merging- certainly. I have no constraints on what magic can and can not accomplish in the world. Magic is meant to be the defying of natural law, so you can really accomplish anything if you put your mind to it. If someone wanted to slowly craft elementals until they became breathing, living creatures with thoughts and feelings of their own then that is certainly a possibility to be pursued. If someone wanted to plop an elemental inside their own body and hope for the best, that's also fine.

If you would rather pick something different to an elemental then that is, once again, fine by me.

It's my turn to post in Broken World. I would have done it last night, but I went to replying emails to my friend, a friend who does not spam or lie.

I am interested in this colonial-esque RP. Real-life history should not bother a user from participating in such an RP.

Hm, I think that simple RPs seem to get the most attention quickly. I was thinking of such an RP, a simple, classic, but story-driven RP. It can start with a very big galleon sailing in a stormy ocean, of which users happen to be passengers sailing to the New World for a better life, adventure, mercenary work, tourism, searching for a family member, is a prisoner, a slave rower, or anything else the user wishes. This RP will be medieval to steampunk.

The ship is then attacked by something powerful, forcing all users to "intro" their character upon this attack, such as the user running out one's room, being pulled out the window and forced to swim, the wall gets broken open, or what have you.

The sailors are getting killed, and the galleon eventually sinks or is destroyed, forcing the users to swim/unconsciously wash ashore of a mysterious island. Other users/NPCs wash ashore at other parts of the island, and future users may intro in that manner. This island happens to have things like ancient ruins, ancient monsters, demons, and various quests to help the diverse inhabitants.
