Hmm. I've been prevented from posting today, but I probably have some posts incoming tomorrow.

Truth be told, I've been having trouble figuring out where I want Dirk and Anja to go, who I want to them to be. To this end, I've gone back to the original source material for Dirk Felix - an amalgamation of several skilled anti-heroic characters dealing with extremely dark settings (mainly conspiracies), or at least, so I thought. While re-reading several of these stories, I found it quite interesting how little was actually described about these characters - who they were was judged by their exchanges of words and rarely their actions. Even then, their words were left entirely to interpretation.

This has caused me to wonder - what is more important? The 2,000 character description of a character's present, or just that one line of conversation and maybe a tag along snippet of action? I figure that once I figure this conundrum, I'll probably be able to pass this block and start posting again.

... Which seems like kind of silly problem in hindsight, considering the state of the forum. But. Hey.

Sounds like Dirk is just a character larger than the role-play, West. Incorporating so much content into an RP is difficult, but if you provide hints, clues, or slight details in your storytelling, Dirk's opinions or thoughts, or even Anja's take on things, I can gradually attempt to work out a broader storyline for Dirk in relation to conspiracies.

As for what's important, personally, I find description more important, as I then have more content to work with. Dialogue tends to be limited to interpretation as you said, but a description of something, really helps direct storytelling more fluidly.

As always, if a user just has nothing to add, simply posting PASS on the RP or here forfeits your "turn" and so I continue on assuming the character is still ready.


Ha, and yes, Angel really brings blood and life into this forum. I attempted to do the same, but it didn't work out. As a reminder, in RolePlayGateway, my username is JonathanKonopka, so we can RP there, too.

You always ask that question, that is a form of electronic stalking and harassment. Now I have to pretend to kill myself for attention.

Anyways, more importantly, Trump made Hillary look funny several times this debate, it was quite the fun to watch. I like Trump's honesty, which may be the only reason I prefer him over Hillary. I noticed Hillary completely ignored the statement regarding her defense of a rapist over a rape victim years ago. What an ugly monster.
