Yes, the opening scene with the knight is basically a pre-recording, and meant to be a means to just get the user going in the thread.

The knight is already out of the picture after he leaves with you; it is assumed that everything you spoke to the knight is forgotten, you only have the feint memory that you were once beholding him in a spiritual state at the top of Skyhook. While your character is being created, and armour being created, you can inquire to User-Friendly as much as you want, if you want. He's, well, how to put it, always around.

The intro was just meant to be a means to get the story going in a simple manner; the cybernetic knight is somewhat of a finale character, or so is planned. In my dream, he disappears in a similar fashion and then everything changes to the bottom of the city.

Anyways, I'm done for tonight; I will try to get two example characters tomorrow. Oh, and users can also create characters outside the main storyline too, if they so desire.

I tried drawing my character concept for Azi's thread - not only are the body proportions laughably bad, trying to use full-scale mecha designs on people sized suits (like hip-mounted hover systems not dissimilar to those on Kataprakts in aldnoah.zero) tend to look more like a hindrance.

I think I'm starting to see why most sci-fi games don't create excessive battle armours for melee orientated characters - preferring to stick as close to the nano-fibre spandex as much as possible.
