On a more serious note, this attitude that Orcs can't be Elves seems awfully out of place in a progressive society.
I thought orcs being elves was a bit odd but they certainly did a fine job at building it into the world of Tamriel. In the collaborative fantasy world that appears in Into The Fire, I know that orcs are native to Kal'sea, whilst elves live in a forested land-bridge which connects Engelain to Kal'sea. And seeing as Er Ril hates elves, but has a strange fondness for his lusty orcs, I think it would be a dishonour to him to link the two.
Do the Dwarves not have a home in this world!?

I was thinking of writing a story about Henry and him being a soldier and knight before deserting and becoming a heroic adventurer.
since i keep referring to his shady past
i shall retcon him as being from Engelain instead of Kal'sea
I'd certainly read it! Which land he comes from is pretty inconsequential, as we're roleplayers and we'll let our characters go wherever we please.
Speaking of the elves, no one lays ownership to the elven lands which exist between Engelain and Kal'sea. I suppose I could talk to the other main contributors to the world, (Laser Gunk, Er Ril and Oughbel Basset,) and see if we can auction it off to someone willing to work on it.
Not that I'm trying to recruit people into my cult or anything.

Not as far as I'm aware, haha.
Dwarves are widely regarded as not being native to Engelain, though there are countless nomads and a fluttering of petty kingdoms and other settlements that crop up. The avians (that is, birdmen,) enslaved the dwarven race en masse around ten millennia ago, so either they removed all dwarves from Engelain for long enough a time that no one believes they're from Engelain anymore, or they kidnapped the dwarves from another land.
I think dwarves could potentially be native to Kal'sea- I'd have to talk to Er Ril about it, but as he's not around here often anymore I doubt he has strong feelings about it either way. They certainly aren't native to the Southlands of Diesel Elysia or the arid islands of Khaliyat in the east. I like the idea that there is a lost dwarven homeland which they want to rediscover, it's very Tolkien-esque.

That is an injustice that must be remedied.

There is the potential that dwarves being known as great miners stems from the fact they were forced to toil underground for centuries. The avians did free all of the slaves after their work was complete though, and haven't kept slaves in several millennia.

Maybe I'll make a dwarf character who has vowed to kill anything with wings, as retribution for the enslavement of his people...

It'd certainly be fitting. I don't think dwarves have much trust for the avians. The avians, (pardon the pun,) probably see themselves as above it all. That's the issue with races which think they're smarter than everyone else- elves, centaurs, humans- they end up causing a lot more bother than it's worth.
