Spirry can indeed regenerate, but not beyond his wounded state; he regenerates but is constantly wounded. He is skinless and susceptible to cutting attacks, as well as fire (fire can cauterize his body, thus removing regeneration), magic of any kind, and holy powers, exactly as Mechanical said in his dream. Mechanical mentioned all weaknesses to the major characters. Oddly enough, none of them utilized Spirry's weaknesses against him.
Spirry does not directly make other people regenerate; his blood creates fleshy growths, which then speed up cellular division. So, people only regenerate if within the confines of his taint.
The Playroom was just a dream, as Alania mentioned. If I recall correctly, her magic song destroyed Mechanical completely, as well as his dream world. Is that power-playing?
Spirry does feel pain, but does not experience the suffering negatively. He is an extremist sadomasochist; he feels sexual gratification through agony. This also means he is susceptible to all forms of damage, and will even gradually break himself into uselessness from prolonged combat; I described this happening. His flesh regenerates, but his bones, not so much, so shatter his spinal cord, femur, or any other bone in his legs or torso, and he will break down; I alluded to this.
Mechanical is not made out of metal entirely, but according to his descriptions, has “tendrils of machinery” within his fleshy skinless body. He essentially is a fleshy furnace. Very hot, due to always being on fire. Obviously, his weakness is any form of freezing or coldness, as then, like a machine, dependant of heat and fuel. His fuel is his own blood. If his machinery stops, he stops as well.
