If it makes her happy, let her be happy, it's really not a big deal. I also dislike lying, but that's what kids do, they'll go to any lengths to achieve what they want, and then when feeling shame or guilt, try to escape it. Eventually, there is learning and growing up, but that takes time.
Yes, it is bad for Annie to make petty lies, as such behavior can grow into pathological lying, but the desire for attention and achievement is uncontrollable in young people (especially millennials). It really isn't a big deal, let nature run its course. It is, after all, more worthwhile to get angry at real-life crime than posts in a thread.
